Layering season is finally here! So, for today's look I wanted to show you guys how I took a simple swing dress and turned it into a season ready outfit.
It has to be exactly 11 years since I wore velvet. Yes! It's been that long and I have to confess that back in the day there weren't a whole lot of pieces I found appealing, not to mention, my mother did all the shopping. Now that velvet seems to be back in style, I decided to add at least one or two pieces I can actually wear without looking odd. To be honest, I've never really been fond of velvet since it gets lint easily and I just feel like it's not an everyday fabric but I felt in love with this blazer so much that it actually didn't bother me.
I've been having this burgundy color crush lately which couldn't keep me away from this super cool blanket scarf and matching shoes. I had wanted to try a blanket scarf for so long but I never found one that caught my attention as much. The thing about this type of scarves is the many different ways you can wear them. Little by little, I will be posting some of the looks I'll be styling with this Fall/Winter staple piece.
Today's super chic look features this amazing Wrap Coat which was love at first site! I wanted to do a monochromatic look but instead I decided to add some nude details here and there to make it more wearable for my day. I had been in the search of a light weight layering piece in a nudish color to alternate my maxi cardigan which I wear quite a lot. This jacket was a courtesy of makemechic.com, make sure to check out their new arrivals and fabulous items! Stay chic.
