I must confess, I have been having a love affair with the color mustard and olive these days. Something about this color combination screams classy but fun at the same time. I received this bag from Justfab.com the style name is Cameron and I'm loving this little thing specially the pom pom keychain that can become detachable which is a plus!
Stripes, stripes and more stripes! It's all I keep seeing everywhere. In the history fashion, there's just simply not a time where stripes aren't a thing. It's the most universal pattern. I had been on the hunt for a pair of striped shoes since I didn't own any until I came across these ones at Shoedazzle called "Lynden" I remember they used to have a pair in pink last year that I missed out and hopefully they bring back. They are the girliest most fashionable striped shoes I've seen! They run TTS however, I have a narrow foot and they didn't have 6.5 so, I went with a 6 and they fit perfectly.
Spring has sprung! While the weather is still indecisive ( It'll be snowing this week) today was in the high 70s, perfect enough to wear my good ol' jumpsuit which I had altered and made it shorter. I love to re-purpose clothing because they transform into new pieces. I added this little floral blazer I had in my closet and some vibrant yellow pumps to give it a Spring vibe.
Just in case you're curious, this fur stole is faux. I had been loving adding texture to my looks lately and to break away from the fur vests and all that jazz, I wanted to try the fur stole. It's a classy piece you can wear numerous ways and add that element of sophistication to your outfit. I added it to my pink jacket I wore recently and it totally changes the look of the coat and keeps me cozy in this transitioning weather.
Today's look involved a recent steal I scored! I gotta tell you, nothing better than finding an item you love at a bargain price. This jacket is a dupe for one I had been drooling about but I would never spend that kind of money on something I won't take with me to my grave LOL. Anyhow, right now it's one of the best times to shop because the new season is upon us and I'm sure you will find a lot of great transitional pieces at a fraction of the cost.

What I love the most so far about fashion this year would have to be pastels, and not just for Spring but for all year round. Soft, feminine, and delicate hues that will def be replacing the basic neutral palette, at least for a little while.
Many think dressing all black is boring but I think it's all a matter of how well you choose the pieces you're gonna wear for your look. In order to create that perfect all black look, the main thing to keep in mind is to play with texture. In my look I added some faux leather, lace and a little animal print to add a chic element.
Floral print season is about to start. We all know what that means! Spring 2016 is coming and what better way to begin than sporting this amazing dress I scored during Black Friday sales. I wanted something different with a lady like cut, and this was it, plus the price was right. I'll probably get this altered later on to wear as a top and a bottom but before I do I'll wear it as is until I get tired of it LOL.
Today I wanted to share this casual look mixing casual and dressy pieces. I love playing around with these type of items when it comes to dressing up, it's a great way to put to use even those things you can only wear on certain occasions. The trick is to mix and match casual everyday items with classier items to give you that chic contrast.
Just because we're in the Caribbean, doesn't mean we can't adapt Fall trends to our everyday looks. Basically, it's all a matter of the material you choose, how you combine pieces and above all, the color palette you choose. We are somewhat experiencing a very changing weather, but even though, it may feel a bit cooler at times, it isn't to the point where you need a leather jacket because that is just way too much for here, unless you decide to wear it for the love of fashion, if you know what I mean. While I don't recommend wearing that here, I do recommend sleeveless jackets, as long as they are lightweight, you'll be good to go. This way you can tolerate the weather but be fashionable at the same time.
I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of that whole "Boho Chic" look but when I saw this top I immediately visualized a variety of ways I can pull this off without looking like a hippie. No offense but that whole look isn't for me hehe. I added a little skinny belt to my blouse to make it look more cinched to my waist because I just wasn't feeling that loose look. Would you try a peasant blouse?
